Beautiful, Gorgeous, Awesome and Wonderful…Words to describe how the weather was today…The sun was shining beautifully and I was in a great mood…Schoolwork with the kids…Check…Housework…Check…All the in-betweens…Check…Thank You God for blessing us with a beautiful and sunshiney day…
Youngest son had a follow-up appointment today with his psychiatrist…We really do like this guy…He actually listens to us and we are on the same page about a diagnoses for him…He does want to wait on results from the testing at the facility and school system before he gives a diagnosis or thinks about medication changes…My youngest was not talking at all though…He just stared out him without answering any questions…Thank You God for helping us to find a psychiatrist we feel comfortable with and like…
Funny moment though at the appointment…This definitely gave me more insight on how my son’s mind works…The Dr. (psychiatrist) asked my son, “What did the Easter Bunny bring you on Easter?” My son just stared at him with confusion on his face…I knew immediately what the problem was…Just because I am such an awesome mom…My son no longer believes in the Easter Bunny and he wasn’t quite sure how to answer the question…I would think that normally, a child would respond simply by saying, “I don’t believe in the Easter Bunny but I did get …..” I asked my son if he didn’t know how to respond because he didn’t believe in the Easter Bunny and he just nodded his head in agreement…Not sure exactly why he didn’t answer it at all…I just know he didn’t put 2 and 2 together to give some kind of response…But then again…It is many things and situations like this, that make him his unique self…Thank You God for this tidbit of insight even if I cannot make complete sense of it right now…
Oldest two spent the day outside after completing schoolwork and chores…They had friends stop on by to play…There are 2 new kids in the neighborhood…The boy is the same age as my oldest son and the girl is just 2 years younger than my daughter…I hope they can continue their friendship throughout the summer…I have been praying that my oldest son meets at least one friend who lives within walking or bike-riding distance for him to play with…Right now though…God has answered that prayer…Thank You God for continued answered prayers and new friendships forming…May you continue to bless my family and let your love be shown through my children to others…
I have been fighting with myself…Yes, I literally argue with my thoughts…Quietly though…I decided today is the day…I definitely try to work on getting back in shape again…Yes, again…I know I started doing this months back…But, I failed and got busy with so many other things…With the weather getting warmer and my kids at an older age…I can walk my neighborhood at least 15-20 minutes a day…So tonight, hubby and I took a walk together…It is so refreshing to spend this time together…My hubby said we were officially old walking the neighborhood together…I accept it though…We walked for almost an hour…I had no back pain or breathing problems…45 minutes later, I still am not aching or having any pain…Thank You God for the time with my hubby and for blessing me without any pain at the moment…
I just realized too…Because I decided to start walking today…And I did actually take a long walk with my hubby…That I have found 3 separate post on my FB page about walking…One including 20 reason why walking is so great for the body…I strongly believe that God finds a way to reach, communicate, reassure and direct us through any means possible…Even if it means me coming across encouraging posts on FB…Thank You God for talking to me through many different means…
That about sums my day up…Till tomorrow…Stay close to all those important things and people…Count your blessing and Thank God for at least one thing before you shut your eyes…
My perfect Savior and Redeemer God…I will continue to praise and lift up your name…As you continue to bless and walk with me…
Proverbs 16:31 NIV says,
Gray hair is a crown of splendor;
it is attained by a righteous life.
This is especially important to me today because I just found over 10 gray hairs on my head…
